BAYERN MUNICH have warned Liverpool midfielder Thiago won’t leave on the cheap as they hold out for £36million.
The Spaniard, 29, has already told chiefs at the Bundesliga champions that he wants to team up with Jurgen Klopp as he seeks a new challenge.

Liverpool have reportedly had a £23m bid rejected and are reluctant to go any higher with Thiago’s contract expiring next summer.
Bayern chief Karl-Heinz Rummenigge confirmed the player has asked to leave the club but warns suitors they have to reach their asking price.
Speaking at Leroy Sane’s unveiling, he said: “He wants to leave this summer.
“But I have to say honestly, the fees that circulate in the media, I have to laugh at that.
“We will not have a summer sale at Bayern Munich.
“We will only consider selling if the numbers are right.
“[Sporting director] Hasan Salihamidzic had a conversation with Thiago, we were optimistic, but Thiago told Hasan some time ago that he would like to do something different.
“No club has contacted us to date.
“The fact is that we want to play the remaining Champions League games with Thiago and David Alaba.
“Both have contracts until June 30, 2021.
“They will take part in the round of 16 against Chelsea.
“If we qualify, they will definitely play in the tournament in Lisbon, then we will see.”
Thiago has made 231 appearances for Bayern Munich, since leaving boyhood club Barcelona for Bavaria in 2013.
He was won seven consecutive league titles in Germany and four domestic cups.
Thiago appears so certain that he’ll leave Bayern that he has already put his house up for sale.
Manchester United and Chelsea are keen admirers but it appears Liverpool remain in the driving seat with their Prem rivals keen to pursue other targets.
