AJAX have rejected an offer from Barcelona to sign ex-Southampton forward Dusan Tadic, according to reports.
The Spanish champions are desperate to add to their front line in January with Luis Suarez out injured and they have seen a number of approaches knocked back by clubs across Europe.

Barca turned their attention to Tadic after their plan to sign Valencia striker Rodrigo Moreno fell through with Valencia refusing to lower their asking price for the Spanish international.
Super-agent Jorge Mendes then hoped to organise a deal that would see Barca buy Sporting Lisbon’s Bruno Fernandes before loaning him to their LaLiga rivals in a swap deal for Rodrigo, but the Portuguese midfielder looks set to join Manchester United instead.
It’s claimed the Blaugrana have since had an undisclosed offer for Tadic rebuffed by Ajax but the Serbian attacker’s agent remains in Barcelona negotiating a potential move.
Tadic, 31, spent four seasons in the Premier League with Southampton before a £10million move to Ajax in June 2018.
He enjoyed a stellar 2018-19 season for the Dutch champions, scoring 38 goals in all competitions, as they won a league and cup double and reached the Champions League semi-finals.
He has added another 11 to his Ajax total this term and a move to Spain would see him reunited with former teammate Frenkie De Jong, who moved to the Camp Nou in the summer.
However, with the transfer window closing on Friday, Barca will have their work cut out to push through a deal.
The Spanish giants have been linked with a number of strikers since Suarez’s injury including Arsenal’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Chelsea’s Olivier Giroud but their efforts so far this window have proved fruitless.
Financial Fair Play restrictions mean the Catalan club are unable to splash the cash as they would like this month – especially if they attempt to sign Neymar again this summer.
