LEICESTER CITY have stunned Arsenal to secure a 1-0 win at the Emirates.
Alexandre Lacazette thought he had given the Gunners an early lead with a header but Granit Xhaka was adjuged by VAR to have impeded Kasper Schmeichel’s view from an offside position.
And it would turn out to be the head of Jamie Vardy that would prove decisive as he got on the end of Cengiz Under’s pass to give the Foxes the victory ten minutes from time.

VARDY HAVING THE PARTY
Speaking after the game, Jamie Vardy was asked how much it meant to get Leicester’s first win at Arsenal since 1973, he said: ” It’s big for us, but it’s just the next game where we want to keep improving- we’ve had a couple of bad results, but we just wanted to get the game plan right after a couple of bad results
“We knew it was going to be tough. We had a game plan, we weathered a bit of a storm but then started to get on the ball and we’ve come away with a 1-0 win.”
Vardy knew ahead of the game that he wouldn’t get a full game, speaking of the injury that’s kept him out Vardy added: “We spoke yesterday about the plan for the injury. It’s a little niggle, I didn’t want to be chucked straight in- luckily I came on and made an impact, giving us the full three points.
“It gives us a little boost and we want to keep building on that as a team.”
