Arsenal pull off double transfer swoop for teen striker and winger Nikolaj Moller and Joel Ideho

ARSENAL have announced the signings of teenagers Nikolaj Moller and Joel Ideho.

Moller, 18, and Ideho, 17, will join the Gunners’ Professional Development Phase this season.

Deals for both were finalised before the transfer window slammed shut on Monday night.

Striker Moller is said to be a prolific goalscorer and arrives from Malmo in a deal worth around £450,000.

The Sweden under-19 international underwent a medical at London Colney yesterday before putting pen to paper on a four-year contract with the club.

Moller, who spent 18 months in Italy with Bologna before returning to Malmo in January, will initially link up with Steve Bould’s under-23 side.

Pacy winger Ideho joins Arsenal after a brief spell in the Ajax academy, but spent the majority of his youth career with Willem II.

Capable of playing on both flanks, Ideho is expected to turn out for both the under-18s and under-23s this season.

Arsenal say both signings are subject to the completion of the regulatory processes.

Players require clearance from both relevant football associations before an international transfer can be approved.

The pair are the latest in a series of additions to Steve Bould’s under-23 team, after the signings of George Lewis, Tim Akinola and Jonathan Dinzeyi.

Arsenal have also agreed a deal to sign 18-year-old Omar Rekik of Hertha Berlin for £900,000.

The centre-back is a former Manchester City youth player and brother of Sevilla defender Karim.
