Arsenal fans left ‘crying’ with joy after Arteta spotted training with Bellerin, Saliba, Gabriel and Tierney together

ARSENAL fans were ‘crying’ with joy after spotting a back four Mikel Arteta looks set to use in the future.

Eagle-eyed Gunners fans saw the boss appearing to use Hector Bellerin, William Saliba, Gabriel Magalhaes and Kieran Tierney all together.

Arsenal fans were buzzing at the sight of Bellerin, Saliba, Gabriel and Tierney all in a back four

The fearsome foursome look likely to be Arsenal’s long-term defensive unit.

But they are yet to appear together in a first-team game.

Bellerin, 25, is a stalwart of Arsenal having been with the club since 2012, while Tierney, 23, joined last year.

Saliba, 19, was also signed last year but has yet to play a game this season, while Gabriel, 22, has scored once in four top flight appearances so far in 2020/21.

But fans were eager to believe all four will line up together soon after seeing it appear to happen in training.

One hopeful said: “Arteta using Arsenal’s long-term back four during training.”

Another wrote: “A Tierney, Gabriel, Saliba, Bellerin back four in training. I’m crying.”

A fellow user posted: “Have high hopes for this.”

And another posted an emoji of two hands in prayer alongside the picture.

In truth, such a back four looks likely, with only Saliba seemingly having to prove himself to Arteta.

The Emirates boss has shown his ruthless side though with the axing of Mesut Ozil.

The World Cup winner was not included in Arsenal’s Premier League or Europa League squads.

It means he will have to wait until January at the earliest for first-team action.

In reaction to this, Ozil took a swipe at the club and blasted their lack of ‘loyalty’ in a blistering social media post.

And he was backed by former team-mate Jack Wilshere, who said the Gunners were missing out on using their ‘best player’.
