Brondby starlet Anis Ben Slimane is believed to be a summer target for Arsenal
According to Danish news outlet BT, top-flight clubs are expected to experience financial trouble due to the football season being suspended as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.
They state that this could mean Brondby have to sell their prized assets in order to balance the books, with Slimane one of those who the club are prepared to cash in on.
It has been claimed that the Gunners are keen on luring the player to North London having been impressed by what they have seen of him.
Slimane – who has won youth caps for both Sweden and Tunisia – is said to be available for just £4.4million.
During the January transfer window, Fotboll Skanalen reported that as well as Arsenal, Manchester United and AC Milan scouts were in attendance to watch Brondy’s pre-season clash against IFK Norrkoping.
Brondby forward Simon Hedlund said after the game that they were either watching Slimane or West Ham ace Sead Haksabanovic, who is currently on loan at Norrkoping.
He stated: “It was probably some younger players that the clubs were watching, either Slimane in our team or Haksabanovic.
