Lallana spent six years at Anfield following his transfer from Southampton but was let go upon the end of the elongated 2019/20 season.
He scored 22 goals in 178 matches for the Reds, playing a bit-part role in their recent trophy-winning success.
In the last 14 months, Lallana won the Champions League, Super Cup, Club World Cup and, most recently, the Premier League.
He managed 15 top-flight appearances this term as Jurgen Klopp’s side swept the rest of the division aside, ending up on 99 points.
The 34-cap England international played at the 2014 World Cup and the Euros two years later.
Adam is a really exciting signing for us. To have both his experience and quality out on the pitch will be a great addition for us.

In total he has played more than 400 senior games, scoring 81 goals and making 70 assists.
The playmaker will wear the No14 shirt at the Amex next season and will add plenty of quality and experience into the Brighton side.
Head coach Graham Potter, whose Seagulls side finished 15th and seven points clear of relegation, said: “There is no doubting Adam’s quality, and if you look at his footballing CV his ability is clear for everyone to see.
“He has played at the very highest level, for both club and country, and achieved great things. He has a wealth of experience alongside his technical quality.
“The honours he won during his time at Liverpool, and the high regard in which he is held at Anfield, only further underline his ability and character.
“Adam is a really exciting signing for us, someone I am sure the supporters will be really looking forward to seeing play as and when things are able to begin to return to normal.
“To have both his experience and quality out on the pitch will be a great addition for us, and I know he will be an excellent role model for our younger players in the squad.
“I am really looking forward to working with him when we return for pre-season training in a few weeks.”
