That race was scrapped at the very last minute before F1 chiefs took the decision to call off the next seven events up to and including Azerbaijan in June.
The sport will now take a break while the world battles against coronavirus, an illness that hit the F1 paddock as well.
McLaren on Thursday announced: “We are pleased to confirm that as of yesterday evening, all team personnel who were in self-isolation in Melbourne, as well as management who had stayed with them, have now safely returned home.
“Thanks once again on behalf of the team for all the support and well wishes.”
The Canadian Grand Prix on June 14 is next on the calendar, and bosses say they will make a decision on whether to postpone the race within the next three weeks.
F1 chiefs had hoped that the race in Montreal would be the first of the season after the Australian GP was scrapped.
However, with the pandemic accelerating in North America, track bosses say they want to wait before making a decision.
Francois Dumontier, the Canadian GP promoter, said: “We would have to make a decision by Easter weekend.
“If the situation has improved by then, we could have the site ready on schedule.”
