BRIT Jamie Chadwick will test drive for Jaguar in her pursuit to become a Formula E driver.
The 21-year-old’s dream is to race in Formula One but would love to learn her trade and race in the electric series first.
Jamie Chadwick became the first W Series champion last year
She already test drives for Williams in F1 but will now drive for Jaguar in the rookie test in Marrakesh after the ePrix on February 29.
Exclusively speaking to SunSport, she said: “It’s an opportunity to showcase what I can potentially do in Formula E.
“But also above anything else just to get more experience in this series as it is quite different.
“Ultimately a career in Formula E is the goal, FE is something I am a huge fan of, I think it’s rapidly developing.
“The cars and circuits are all developing and the teams and drivers are all at such a high level.
“It’s of course something I aspire to be involved in, from my side I will keep pushing as hard as I can.
“If an opportunity comes around then that’s great, but I think I’m still a little bit away from that, still a bit more to do in the junior formula but we will see.”
This will be the second team Chadwick will test drive for in FE, after driving for NIO last season.
In 2019 she won the inaugural W Series title, achieving five podiums in just six races of the all-female championship.
Chadwick was also the first woman and youngest driver to win the British GT Championship, before going on to be the first female to win a British F3 race back in 2018.
