JON JONES could beat Mike Tyson and Muhammad Ali in the same day, according to ex-UFC star Chael Sonnen.
Jones is widely considered the greatest UFC fighter of all time and his former opponent Sonnen thinks he could beat boxing’s best too.

Ali is considered the greatest boxer of all time
And ‘Iron’ Mike Tyson is not far behind Ali in the conversation for best boxer ever
Sonnen, 43, was on the end of a Jon ‘Bones’ Jones pasting at UFC 159 in 2013, when the now ESPN pundit was destroyed inside the first round.
But the defeat has not left Sonnen bitter as he called the 32-year-old light heavyweight champion the “best ever”.
He said: “For him to pay tribute to Mike Tyson and Muhammad Ali earlier was a very nice thing for him to do, but the reality is that Jon Jones could beat Tyson and Ali in the same day.”
Jones has a 26-1-0 record with one no contest while Tyson managed 50 victories from 56 fights with a staggering 44 of those wins being knockouts.
Ali’s stats were similarly impressive winning 56 of his 61 fights with 37 coming from KOs but Sonnen refused to back down claiming Jones underestimates his own greatness.
Despite Jones never having boxed professionally, Sonnen added: “I don’t think he understands how good he is.
“When he says he wants to be the best ever, Jon, newsflash buddy, you are the best.
“As far as tying Tito Ortiz, maybe he had a couple more wins, but he hasn’t had the competition that you’ve faced.
“I’m not going to try to degrade Jon. He’s a world champion, he’s the best in the weight class and he’s the best the weight class has ever seen.”
Ali died in 2016, but Tyson is lining up a return to the ring aged 53 with Evander Holyfield and Shannon Briggs being touted as opponents.
