Tyson Fury fell in love with his new training team for Wilder fight immediately, just like he did with his wife Paris

TYSON FURY says he fell in love with his new training team instantly – just like he did for wife Paris.

The 31-year-old Brit split with long-time trainer and friend Ben Davison ahead of his rematch with Deontay Wilder on Saturday and put together a new crack unit.

SugarHill Steward, nephew of Kronk Gym icon Manny, leads the team alongside ex-WBO middleweight champ and cousin Andy Lee.

Former heavyweight king David Haye compared switching teams so close to the showdown, with the granite-fisted American, to letting a total stranger pack your parachute.

But Fury insists his new backroom staff won him over just like his childhood sweetheart did when he was only 17 and doubters are wrong.

The Gypsy King said: “We worked well together straight away. It’s just how comfortable we are and how we gelled.

“I believe in love at first sight. When I first met my wife when we were kids, I knew I was going to marry her straight away.

“So whoever says you can’t have chemistry in a short time is full of s***.

“When love hits you, it hits you like a ton of bricks and you can’t stop it.

“Chemistry can be made in seconds and you automatically know if something is going to work or it’s not.

“If you need a long time to work out if that person’s for you or, then that person probably isn’t for you.”

Fury weighed just 18st 2lbs for his last fight in September, when his father John slammed Davison for shrinking his son down too much.

Under new guidance, he is expected to tip the scales on Friday at around 19st and he expects to throw his weight around before scoring a shock knockout.

He said: “Having SugarHill in the corner is a fantastic asset.

“Before I came over here to start this training camp, I was very unsure how this would go because obviously me and my long-term trainer were not training together anymore.

“He was a new trainer, someone I hadn’t worked with for 10 years, so it was all up in the air. Andy was coming in, SugarHill was coming in, so it was all unknown to me.

“I wasn’t sure how it would all pan out, but I can tell you now, it’s the best decision I have ever made and I’m glad I made it when I did because we’re going to see something different on Saturday night.”
