Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder’s final drug test results come back and pair are 100 per cent clean

TYSON FURY and Deontay Wilder’s drug test results have been released by the World Boxing Council.

The tests were administered by the Voluntary Anti-Doping Association and regulated by the WBC’s clean boxing programme.

And the results have now confirmed that both fighters are 100 per cent clean.

Fury knocked the 34-year-old American out in the seventh round after a dominant performance to claim the WBC heavyweight title.

And the WBC subsequently released a statement, saying: “World Boxing Council heavyweight champion Tyson Fury, and Deontay Wilder, came out clean in the doping tests conducted by the Voluntary Anti-Doping Association as part of the successful Clean Boxing Program.

“We want to thank both warriors and their respective teams for their willingness to sign up for the Clean Boxing Program and demonstrate that they are both exemplary athletes, who testify to their honesty and commitment to boxing.”

Despite the public clamour for an all-British heavyweight unification bout between Fury and Anthony Joshua – the Gypsy King will now have to focus on navigating Wilder yet again in the summer.

The Bronze Bomber confirmed that he will exercise his rematch clause, setting up a trilogy fight with the 31-year-old Mancunian.

But Fury has since suggested that he has two more fights left in him before retiring.

He told This Morning earlier this month: “I’ve got two more fights left, then we’re going to really think about what we do from there.

“How long does a piece of string go on? I’m undefeated in 31 professional fights and this is my 12th year as a professional.

“I’ve already been the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world. When I beat Klitschko I had all the belts, so as far as I’m concerned Anthony Joshua just has my leftovers.

“I never lost those belts, I had to take time out to deal with mental health issues, so they’re my belts. Until a man is defeated in a boxing ring, how can you pretend to be the champion?”

Meanwhile, Joshua will defend his titles against IBF mandatory challenger Kubrat Pulev at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on June 20.
