FLOYD MAYWEATHER will NOT fight in 2020 as he mourns the deaths of both his ex-girlfriend and his uncle, according to reports.
Speculation had been rife that the undefeated boxer was considering rematches with Manny Pacquiao and Conor McGregor this calendar year.
But any comeback must be delayed following the painful loss experienced by Mayweather.
TMZ report that the 43-year-old has told friends the circumstances are not right for him to step back into the ring.
Josie Harris, the mother of three of Mayweather’s children, was found dead in her car by her home in California last week.
Their 15-year relationship ended in 2010 and he shared a heartfelt tribute to his former partner on social media, posting photographs of them together and referring to the 40-year-old as “my angel” and “my heart”.
Then, this week it was announced that Mayweather’s uncle Roger had passed away at the age of 58.
Although it has been reported that the ex-trainer’s health was in decline, the death is said to have hit Mayweather hard.

Roger helped the American star turn professional in the mid-1990s and was his cornerman between 2000 and 2012.
In that period, Mayweather became one of the world’s greatest-ever pound-for-pound fighters and he spoke of how his uncle “meant the world to me” after his death.
He said: “My uncle was one of the most important people in my life inside and outside of the ring.
“Roger was a great champion and one of the best trainers in boxing. Unfortunately, his health was failing him for several years and now he can finally rest in peace.
“Roger meant the world to me, my father Floyd Sr my uncle Jeff, our whole family, everyone in and around the Mayweather Boxing Gym and the entire boxing world.
“It is a terrible loss for all of us.”
Furthermore, it is being reported that Mayweather is still struggling to get over the shock death of basketball icon Kobe Bryant In January.
The coronavirus outbreak has also discouraged him from planning any new events, it is said, with the boxer having recently completed a meet-and-greet tour of the UK.
