DILLIAN WHYTE snapped after Tyson Fury agreed a two-fight deal with Anthony Joshua and threatened to wreck his world title shot.
The Brixton ace has been the WBC’s patient No1 contender since October 2017 and has rarely let frustrating boxing politics rile him.

But, after AJ and the Gypsy King agreed financial terms on a two-fight bonanza and Fury’s promoter Bob Arum discussed getting the 6ft 9in star elevated to untouchable ‘franchise’ status, the Body Snatcher blew his top.
“They were taking the p***!,” he said about promoter Eddie Hearn’s announcement that Joshua and Fury were cutting him out.
“That was 100 steps too far, they were taking the p***, that’s the best description.
“I got straight on the phone to Eddie Hearn and the WBC. They had already taken my mandatory away unjustifiably before and now they were trying to shaft me again. I was enraged.
“I have waited a long time and Bob Arum was telling me to fall in line or he would get Fury made franchise champion.
“That was too far, something had to change, enough was enough.”

A legal letter has since forced the WBC to guarantee him a shot at their heavyweight champ after the Fury vs Wilder trilogy.
But the sticky wicket remains the fact that Hearn’s job is to get the best fights for Whyte and his old enemy AJ, and both of the Londoners want a crack at the WBC crown ASAP.
Whyte, 32, said: “The problem is he has me and Anthony Joshua.
“He has to keep Joshua happy, he’s the golden boy at the minute so he has the world champion and No.1 contender to keep happy. It has been hard for him and frustrating for me but it is business.
“I came close to leaving Eddie a lot of times because I am the sort of person who will change something if I am not happy.”
If the thought of the angry 18st ex-kickboxer with itchy knuckles is not scary enough, Whyte has spent the last three months teaching his giant guard dogs Zeus and Hades to lift weights.
Ahead of his August 22 clash with Alexander Povetkin, he said: “To pass the time in Portugal I have been training my guard dogs.
“I’ve been doing some obedience work with them and some protection work with them.
“The dogs enjoy it, I’ve been doing tracking with them and playing sports with them. I have taught them to lift weights with me as well.”
