Dillian Whyte taunts ‘World’s Biggest Coward’ Deontay Wilder for ‘successfully avoiding’ him for over 800 days

DILLIAN WHYTE has again blasted WBC heavyweight champ Deontay Wilder for “successfully avoiding” him.

Whyte is back as the WBC’s No1 ranked challenger after UKAD threw out a doping charge against him.

It is a spot he says he has held for “800 days” – and despite repeatedly calling for a shot at Wilder, the Bodysnatcher continues to be snubbed.

Instead Wilder will face Tyson Fury again on February 22 in Las Vegas – while Whyte has been left calling for a scrap against Russian veteran Alexander Povetkin.

Whyte uploaded a poster of Wilder to Twitter, adding some less-than-subtle edits.

He scrawled the word “coward” on the graphic, before crossing out the word “gold” to “yellow” in the tagline “My blood is green, my heart is gold”.

WHYTE STILL HUNTING

Green is the colour of the WBC belt.

Whyte wrote: “Congratulations to @BronzeBomber who has been awarded a special belt by  @WBCBoxing

“The WBC World’s Biggest Coward belt to be known as the WBC WBC belt for successfully avoiding me as his official #1 ranked challenger for over 800 days.

He finished off the tweet by adding “#coward #excuses #wbcwbcbelt #800days.”

Whyte won last time out when he beat Mariusz Wach on the undercard of Anthony Joshua’s revenge mission against Andy Ruiz Jr in Saudi Arabia.

He will now sit down with his promoter Eddie Hearn to discuss plans for 2020.

He said: “I’ve got a meeting with Eddie on Tuesday, so we’re going to see, because there are a lot of fights happening and stuff.

“We’ve got to be mindful of the date and timing and stuff, so I need to speak to him to get a full idea of his plans.

“We’ll meet and see what the plans are and then we’ll make a decision.

“I’m not going to wait another 800 days [for Wilder]. What for?”
