DILLIAN WHYTE has revealed he is certain Tyson Fury will avoid facing him in a WBC mandatory title fight – but has vowed to “break him down” if they do ever go toe-to-toe.
The Brixton boxer, 31, claims he “deserves” to take on Fury after the Gypsy King inflicted the first defeat of Deontay Wilder’s career at the weekend.

Fury sensationally stopped the Bronze Bomber in the seventh round to become world champion for the second time and get his hands on the WBC belt.
Ever since the incredible win, talk has been rife of an all-British clash between Fury and Anthony Joshua – who holds the IBF, IBO, WBA and WBO belts after he beat Andy Ruiz Jr in their rematch in December.
But Whyte is desperate to have his shot against the Gypsy King – but has revealed he is sure his fellow Brit will dodge him.
Whyte claimed: “Listen, he should be fighting me next, regardless of whatever he thinks, whatever AJ thinks.
“I deserve it. I’ve worked hard for my title shot and I keep fighting and I keep risking my position.
“I’ve been No1 contender for ages now. They should fight no one else, apart from me. I’ve done everything that is required of me, so now it’s my turn.
“I wouldn’t be surprised if they haven’t already started talking about the [Anthony Joshua] fight.
“Fury won’t face me, unless he gets put in a position where he has to face me.”

But a pessimistic Whyte continued: “Listen, we’ve already tried to make the fight with Fury already for the ‘Diamond’ belt at the time Deontay Wilder was champion.
“The WBC ‘Diamond’ belt is a higher ranked belt than the WBC regular world title. Fury asked for that, the WBC gave me and him the belt, and then he turned the fight down.
“Everybody is going to be: ‘He just beat Wilder.’ That don’t mean s***. This is boxing and styles make fights. Tyson Fury knows I’ve got what it takes to beat him.”
Despite not being confident in getting a fight with Fury to go ahead, Whyte did go into explicit detail as to how he would beat him if given the chance.
The Brixton ace revealed: “Fury moves his head well, but he’s got a big body. Keep targeting his body and back him up.
“You have to lay leather on him and hit him hard to the body. That’s where you wear him down.
“If you hit him to the body hard enough and consistent enough you break him down.
“All the top heavyweights know that I’m going to give them hard work, because I always come to leave it on the line.
“You know me, if I’m down on points, I will start swinging it out.”

Despite all the speculation as to who he should fight next, Fury’s dad, John, has urged his son to hang up his gloves and dedicate his life to his family.
But Fury, 31, appears to already have an iron in the fire after wearing a “Nigeria” gumshield during his win over Wilder – clearly a nod to Joshua.
And the Gypsy King stands to make a stunning £100million if he faces AJ in the “Fight of the Century”.
