Boxing, like nearly every other sport, has been put on hold due to the coronavirus pandemic.

All of this month’s and May’s fights have been postponed – including Anthony Joshua’s clash with Kubrat Pulev in June.

However, WWE was cleared as an “essential business” by Florida officials this week to enable it to continue filming its shows at the PC.

That comes after they used their facility to record WrestleMania 36 and a number of Raw and SmackDown episodes.

Now Arum, CEO of Top Rank, says he plans to hold talks with WWE owner Vince McMahon with the view of holding boxing fights at the venue.

Speaking to ESPN, he said: “It’s very, very interesting, and we’re going to be in touch with them.

“There’s a possibility to use their facility to maybe do events without a crowd.”

He added: “We are very close with Vince and the WWE.

“So let’s see, but we’re still not talking before June.”

Arum and WWE have recently worked together to bring WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury to the squared-circle.

The Gypsy King is co-promoted by Top Rank, and he appeared several times last Autumn on both Raw and SmackDown.

And he then continued his stunning unbeaten streak in boxing by defeating Braun Strowman courtesy of a knockout punch at WWE’s Crown Jewel pay-per-view in Saudi Arabia in October.
