Siem Reap back for more World Tour action

Christoph Dressler and Alexander Huber claimed victory in Siem Reap in 2019

Siem Reap, Cambodia, December 6, 2019 – The third event on the FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour in 2020 will be held in Siem Reap as Cambodia continues its hosting duties in the 2019-2020 season.

The world-famous resort town in northern Cambodia will be the base for a women’s only 2-Star tournament that runs from February 6-9.

It is the first of two 2-Star events to take place in Cambodia and will be followed by a men-only 2-Star tournament in Phnom Penh from February 20-23.

In 2019 the site hosted a men-only tournament which Austria’s Christoph Dressler and Alexander Huber won when they defeated Russia’s Maxim Sivolap and Artem Yarzutkin 2-1 (16-21, 21-13, 15-13).

Siem Reap is well-known as the gateway to Angkor, the UNESCO-recognised ruins of the seat of the Khmer kingdom, the most famous of which is the main temple Angkor Wat.
