Zlatan Ibrahimovic hints AC Milan transfer is done deal in cryptic ‘red eyes’ Instagram post

ZLATAN IBRAHIMOVIC has hinted that his highly-anticipated return to AC Milan is a done deal after uploading a cryptic Instagram post.

The 38-year-old has allegedly agreed a six-month contract to spend the rest of the season with Stefano Pioli’s side, with the option of another year.

The Swedish striker – who spent two seasons with the Rossoneri before joining Paris Saint-Germain in 2012 – is a free agent after leaving LA Galaxy.

And despite rumours of a sensational return to the Premier League or to rivals Napoli, Ibrahimovic has seemingly confirmed he will rejoin AC Milan.

The former Barcelona star uploaded an Instagram picture of himself suited and booted while pointing to his eyes, which were bright red, before quickly deleting it.

SunSport reported earlier this month that Ibrahimovic agreed a deal to sign for Milan despite attracting interest from Premier League teams.

Speaking to GQ Italia, Ibrahimovic himself teased a return to Italy, where he said: “I will go to a club that has to win again, that has to renew its history, which is looking for a challenge against everyone.

“See you soon in Italy.”

He added: “Only in this way will I be able to find the necessary stimuli to surprise you again.

“As a footballer it is not just a matter of choosing a team.

“There are other factors that must fit in, even in the interests of my family.”

During his first spell at the San Siro, Ibrahimovic netted 56 goals in 85 games on route to lifting Serie A and the Italian Super Cup.

However, Milan are without a major trophy since 2011 and are currently 11th in the table, with just 21 points from 17 games.

And they slumped to their worst defeat in 21 years after a 5-0 demolition at the hands of local rivals Atalanta last weekend.
