And should they navigate their final matches successfully, they will enter into the coveted knockout stages and be playing in the competition in the New Year.

But who else could be joining them?

When is the Champions League draw?

The Champions League Round of 16 draw will take place on Monday, December 16.

It will be held at 11am UK time – that is 12pm at the Uefa headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland.

The draw will decided who will face who in eight matches with the group winners only able to play the runner-ups.

Yet, teams from the same country will be kept apart, so no all-Premier League clashes.

How can I watch it?

This draw will likely be live streamed via Uefa’s dedicated Champions League Twitter account – but this is currently unconfirmed.

Details will be updated nearer the time.

What teams have qualified?
