MANUEL PELLEGRINI has been given two games to save his job – starting with Monday’s clash with Arsenal.
Defeat against the Gunners followed by another poor result against fellow strugglers Southampton would leave the Hammers board facing having to axe the Chilean.

The 66-year-old earnt a stay of execution after he led the side to a much needed win at Chelsea last week.
But that 1-0 victory at Stamford Bridge was their only win in the last ten matches, and was followed by another drab display at Wolves in midweek.
And should things fail to improve over the next seven days then the club are leaning towards making the change at the top before Christmas.
West Ham have a free week after the trip to Southampton next Saturday because their scheduled game against Liverpool has been postponed with Jurgen Klopp’s side away at the Club World Cup.
While that is a good opportunity for the players to get a rest, it is potentially a bid thing for Pellegrini as the Hammers board see it as a natural chance to change managers and give any new man time to settle in and work with the squad.
The London club are currently two points clear of Everton in the table, who have already swung the axe on Marco Silva.
If they drop into the relegation zone before Christmas that would spell the end for Pellegrini, who has looked as though he is struggling to inspire the players this season.
David Moyes, still under consideration for the Everton job, and Chris Hughton are two managers who have been looked at by the West Ham board as a potential replacement.
Neither would be happy with a short-term deal until the end of the season, though, and would ask for a long-term commitment if they were to be approached.
