CHELSEA were awarded a controversial penalty after Paulo Gazzaniga crashed into Marcos Alonso.
It led to Sky Sports pundit and former Manchester United star Gary Neville labelling the incident as “an assault”.

Referee Anthony Taylor firstly gave a free-kick the other way.
But after consulting VAR the decision was overturned and he instead pointed to the spot.
Willian did the rest and sent Gazzaniga the wrong way to put the Blues 2-0 up, scoring his second goal of the game.
And his first goal was a beauty.

The winger rolled a corner out to Chelsea team-mate Mateo Kovacic on the edge of the area.
The midfielder gave the Brazilian the ball back as he cut inside Spurs full-back Serge Aurier and rifled home right-footed from around 12 yards.
Unsurprisingly Gazzaniga’s actions led to an outpouring of opinion on social media.
Many on Twitter compared the move to WWE.
CALLS TO REPLACE GAZZANIGA
Others used it to demonstrate that a new keeper should be boss Jose Mourinho’s priority in January.
Hugo Lloris is the current No1 but he is out injured.
Gareth Brett wrote: “Let’s stop kidding ourselves about Gazzaniga.
“He’s a good shot stopper, but he’s prone to huge errors.
“He’s not a top 6 keeper and never will be.”
Luke Mackay was left wondering why the stopped “didn’t just catch the ball”.
Tom Prickett posted: “Not entirely sure how Gazzaniga wasn’t sent off.”
