Solskjaer says Pochettino being sacked ‘doesn’t bother me at all’ as Man Utd boss claims he has ‘best job in the world’

OLE GUNNAR SOLSKJAER says he has no fears now Mauricio Pochettino is on the open market.

Poch was linked with the Manchester United job when Solskjaer took caretaker control last December.

Now after being sacked by Tottenham this week there will be extra pressure on Solskjaer while he remains available.

But the Norwegian does not see it like that claiming that every manager wants his job year round.

He said: “It doesn’t bother me at all.

“I’ve got the best job in the world and, whether you’re in or out of a job, you want this job. So it doesn’t really matter whatever happens around it.

“I’ve got to focus on my job at United, do it as well as we can.

“I speak with Ed Woodward and the owners all the time about how we move forward and that doesn’t change if others change managers.”

While Poch may have lost his job Solskjaer is pleased to see his predecessor Jose Mourinho back in one.

The main reason for his delight is that it will take the spotlight off him as what he describes as a “circus” returns to the Premier League in the form of Mourinho and everything that goes with him.

He said: “It’s good to have Jose back definitely, especially for you guys and maybe for me, you can talk and write about everything else.

“You like Jose coming back, it’s going to be a spectacle and a circus.”
