Salzburg vs Liverpool FREE: Live stream, TV channel, kick-off time and team news for Champions League clash

LIVERPOOL face Red Bull Salzburg, knowing a defeat could send them out of the Champions League.

The Reds sit top of Group E and a point will be enough to see them progress to the knockout stages.

Yet, the reigning champions and current Premier League leaders could be sent to the Europa League instead.

Salzburg can go above Liverpool with a single-goal margin win, providing they do not concede four goals – while Napoli only need a point against winless Genk to rise above the Reds.

Should all that come to pass and the English outfit are sent to Europe’s second tier, they would be the first champions to be knocked out at the group stage since Chelsea in 2012.

What time does Salzburg vs Liverpool kick off?

This Champions League clash will take place on Tuesday, December 10.

It will kick off at 5.55pm UK time – that is 6.55pm in Austria.

The match will be held at Red Bull Arena in Salzburg.

What is the team news?

Sadio Mane and Trent Alexander-Arnold will be expected to return to the starting line-up for the crunch match against Salzburg after being rested in the Bournemouth win on Saturday.

But Fabinho and Joel Matip are among the biggest absentees for the Reds, as they face a difficult December with injuries.

Nathaniel Clyne is also out, while Georgino Wijnaldum, Adam Lallana and Dejan Lovren are all uncertainties for the trip Austria.

Meanwhile, Salzburg have doubts over the fitness of Alexander Walke, Antoine Bernede, Patrick Farkas and Sekou Koita.

Yet, teenage goal machine Erling Haaland will be expected to start, having already netted 28 goals in 21 matches in all competitions this season.
