PSG boss Tuchel admits Neymar is ‘too provocative’ and ‘not easy to manage’ amid Barcelona and Real transfer interest

PARIS Saint Germain boss Thomas Tuchel has admitted Neymar is ”too provocative’ and “not easy to manage” amid reports linking him with a return to Barcelona.

The 27-year-old has had an injury-hit season so far, making only six appearances in Ligue 1.

There has been speculation about him returning to Barcelona after leaving them in 2017 for £198million, with Lionel Messi reportedly begging him to return.

Former Borussia Dortmund boss Tuchel said: “He has a huge heart but unfortunately he doesn’t always show that he’s a generous and reliable guy.

“Sometimes he’s provocative and it’s a real shame because it’s not necessary.”

Tuchel explained that he’s said this to Neymar, revealing: “Yes, yes I have told him that.

“We laugh a lot together and I always try to say the truth.

“He accepts it, but it’s difficult (because he) is provocative when he feels things aren’t going well, not when he’s calm.”

PSG face Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu tonight in the Champions League and if Neymar plays, it will be his first appearance in the competition this season.

Reports suggested that Neymar could even pay some of the transfer fee in a bid to be reunited with his old Barcelona team-mates.

The forward has already fallen out with the PSG fans this season over the speculation about his future.

According to France Football, Messi sent a WhatsApp to his former teammate that read: “Only together can we win the Champions League.

“I want you to come back.

“In two years, I’m leaving, and you’ll be alone, you’ll take my place.”

Neymar has wanted out of PSG for some time but Messi’s future at the Catalan giants remains unclear.
