Pochettino’s assistant posts heartbreaking snap of axed Spurs boss writing goodbye note to players after shock sacking

HEARTBREAKING images show Mauricio Pochettino scribbling a farewell note to his players after his shock dismissal.

As exclusively revealed by SunSport, the Argentine manager was sacked so suddenly that he did not have time to say goodbye to his players in person.

Assistant coach Jesus Perez, who was also axed by Daniel Levy, has shared two snaps of Poch’s message.

One image showed the 47-year-old writing his message on a football flipchart with a permanent marker.

It read: “Big thanks to you all.

“We can’t say goodbye… You will always be in our [hearts].”

After the pictures went viral on social media, one fan said: “I’m actually so sad now, we love you guys so much.”

Another asked: “Why am I crying?”

And one Twitter user added: “Ah f*** sake, I’m crying again. Thank you from every Spurs fan across the world.”

The Argentine’s five-and-a-half year reign in north London came to an abrupt end following a string of poor results.

Less than 24 hours later, Jose Mourinho was appointed as the club’s new manager.

Mourinho has insisted that Pochettino is always welcome back to Spurs – where he exceeded expectations following his arrival from Southampton in 2014.

But SunSport have exclusively revealed that Barcelona and Bayern Munich are interested in securing his services.
