EVERTON could be ready to appoint Niko Kovac as manager after he watched today’s match at Goodison Park from the directors’ box.
The former Bayern Munich boss, 48, was seen by fans both outside the stadium and sitting near chairman Bill Kenwright and owner Farhad Moshiri prior to the match with Chelsea.

One Twitter used also saw him on the plane to England.
The Toffees are searching for their third manager in just over two years following the sacking of Marco Silva after the 5-2 hammering against neighbours Liverpool in midweek.
Portuguese ex-Porto, Olympiakos and Fenerbahce boss Vitor Pereira had been strongly linked with the post.
But it is thought that Kovac may have come over for talks with Goodison Park chiefs this weekend.
The Croat won the Bundesliga title for Bayern Munich last season and masterminded the 7-2 rout of Tottenham in September.
But as the Bavarians’ league form slid away the former Kansas City manager was given the boot last month.
Everton legend Duncan Ferguson took charge for today’s game.
One Twitter user said after spotting Kovac: “Former Croatia, Eintracht Frankfurt and Bayern Munich manager Niko Kovac is at Goodison Park.
“Potential new manager? Or perhaps he just wanted to try the hot dogs. Probably the latter.”
Another said: “On a flight from Munich to Manchester with Niko Kovac, (sacked Bayern Munich manager) might be going for the Everton Job ( you heard it here first)”
Another posted: “Everton going for another foreign manager with good looks and a sexy name with no relegation battle experience to actually bail them out Niko Kovac watching #EVECHE from the stands #efc”
And another fan posted: “Niko Kovac, former Bayern manager, is watching the game from the Everton Directors Box.
“Must be stressed he has just left a good distance away from Moshiri and Kenwright and doesn’t appear to be in their company.”
