Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester City were all linked last month with joining the hunt for Neymar.
That follows Barca failing to complete a September swoop worth £236m – £182m in cash, plus Ivan Rakitic and Jean-Clair Todibo, as well as Ousmane Dembele on a season’s loan.
PSG eventually decided the deal did “not suit them” and pulled the plug when Neymar reportedly agreed to see out hs contract.
But now the 27-year-old has told France Football of his internal struggles.
‘NEVER WANTED TO HURT ANYONE’
He said: “Today, I’m Parisian. I give myself 100 per cent.
“I will give my whole life on the ground for PSG to triumph.
“I never wanted to hurt anyone, but I always knew in my head that if you’re not happy somewhere, you must leave.”
Meanwhile, Manchester United have been linked with PSG’s Argentina playmaker Leandro Paredes.
The 24-year-old has been in and out of Thomas Tuchel’s side since joining from Zenit Saint Petersburg in January.
And it is thought he wants more regular game-time.
Old Trafford chief Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is likely to seek experienced reinforcements next month as he aims to lift sixth-placed United into the Champions League spots.
