United struggled to a 1-1 draw with Everton on Sunday, with Greenwood coming on as a second-half substitute to rescue a point for Solskjaer’s side.

The youngster has scored seven times this season and will be pushing for a start as Anthony Martial and Jesse Lingard struggled to create anything promising during the draw.

According to reports, Greenwood’s family have been offered “life changing amounts” in order for a new start elsewhere.

After bursting on to the scene this season, there will be plenty of admirers for the United academy product.

Gary Neville reckons Greenwood is a better finisher than Marcus Rashford.

During his podcast, the United legend said: “I like Greenwood a lot.

“The composure that he shows at such a young age, his great physical presence.

“The way in which he finishes is that of a top centre-forward.

“Sometimes when you see a young player in front of goal, they panic a bit and snatch at things – [Daniel] James and [Jesse] Lingard do that quite a lot.

“But I’d say Greenwood is a better finisher than Rashford – and that’s saying something.”

Sunday’s draw saw United slip to sixth in the Premier League, one point behind Tottenham.

They face Colchester United in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday and it is likely the forward will start, looking to add to his three goals in the last week.

Greenwood netted in the third round where they struggled again, against Rochdale, beating them on penalties.
