They tweeted: “Did someone say team news? Here’s our starting line-up to face Sheffield United.”

But in a clear admin error, the graphic posted had Rashford’s name spelled “Rashfrord” – and fans were quick to screengrab and laugh about the blunder before it was replaced with the correctly spelled graphic.

Supporters replied to the tweet in such force they even got it trending on Twitter with the game yet to kick-off.

One wrote: “Here’s hoping young Swedish Rashfrord impresses on his debut.”

Another said: “Introducing Sean Connery’s favourite United player… Rashfrord, Marcus Rashfrord.”

A third added: “Rashfrord ?? This club cant do owt right.”
