Man Utd and Chelsea win exactly the same number of games throughout decade – as Spurs pip Arsenal by just ONE VICTORY

CHELSEA and Manchester United are separated by just seven points in the Premier League table of the decade – and have won exactly the same amount of games.

The two giants have each remarkably won 220 of their 380 matches since January 1 2000 despite United’s fall from grace in recent years.

Chelsea may feel they can snatch the bragging rights having won three league titles over the last ten years compared to United’s two.

Sir Alex Ferguson’s former side dominated English football at the turn of the decade, lifting the title in 2011 and 2013.

Chelsea won it in 2010, 2015 and then again in 2017.

The Blues have also scored 27 more goals than the Red Devils in that time but have also conceded 12 more.

United are marginally ahead in the table because they have lost 73 matches compared to Chelsea’s 80.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men have picked up 747 points during that period, meaning they have averaged just over 1.9 points every match.

Not surprisingly it’s Manchester City who rule the roost with a whopping 818 points over 381 matches.

That includes an impressive 251 wins, 65 draws and 65 losses with 845 goals scored in total.

Not only do they have the best scoring record they also boast the sturdiest defence, conceding 342 times.

Liverpool occupy fourth spot, partly down to their remarkable form this season, seven points ahead of Tottenham.

It’s not great reading for Arsenal fans who sit sixth, one point and one win behind their North London rivals.

The Gunners have scored 47 more goals than Spurs during that time but have also conceded 17 more.

Everton and West Ham occupy seventh and eighth while Stoke are the surprise package down in ninth.

The Potters, who were relegated in 2018, are now locked in a relegation scrap at the foot of the Championship.

Newcastle are tenth with 391 points over 324 matches.
