Liverpool and Everton fans delayed on route to Merseyside derby after naked man ‘puts testicles on car bonnet’

A NAKED man was detained by cops after he put his TESTICLES on a car bonnet – causing severe delays for fans trying to get to the Merseyside derby.

The man, who is said to be in his late 20s, was taken to a nearby hospital as a precaution after the incident on West Derby Road in Tuebrook.

The bizarre incident took place around 4pm, but caused severe traffic to build up in the local area.

Luckily for the Everton fans, they only had to travel 0.9 miles from Goodison Park to get to Anfield ahead of kick-off at 8.15pm.

An eye-witness told the Liverpool ECHO: “I honestly can’t believe I have seen that driving home.

“I was driving along the stretch by Iceland and he was running along the carriageway.

“I thought he was wearing a beige outfit to be honest.

“But then he ran out in front of a line of traffic.

“He put his parts on the bonnet of the car next to me. I have never seen anything like it.

“Everyone was beeping, I drove past him and when I looked back, he was bent over with his bottom in the air looking between his legs at the traffic.”

A passenger on a nearby bus – which was forced to stop for the man – said a number of people videoed the incident.

They said: “I just noticed traffic and as we got to him he had a few police holding him by the central reservation.

“Was a big crowd so I think videos will be doing the rounds.”

A Merseyside Police spokeswoman said: “Patrols attended and detained the man who has been taken to hospital as a precaution.”
Liverpool will be looking to extend their lead at the top of the table to 11 points when they host their local rivals.

And the odds are in their favour as they have not lost a midweek league game to the Toffees since 1985.
