BRIGHTON defender Lewis Dunk was accused of going “full Phil Jones” during his side’s Premier League clash against Wolves.
With 60 minutes on the clock the centre-half decided to try and clear the ball with his head – while he was laying in his penalty area.

It led to the ball bouncing up and striking him on the arm – but after the referee consulted VAR Wolves’ penalty appeals were in vain.
But footie fans watching the game were quick to notice that Dunk’s unorthodox defending reminded them of a a similar incident that went viral.
Back in 2015 Manchester United were playing Arsenal when Phil Jones fell to the turf and practically face-planted the ball into the rival attacker’s leg and back to his keeper.
He jumped back to his feet and seemed proud to have spectacularly averted the danger.
TRIBUTE TO JONES
Now Dunk has been compared to the United defender.
Chris Harding wrote on Twitter: “Dunk going full Phil Jones there.”
Jack McCutcheon posted: “Lewis Dunk out here moving like Phil Jones.”
Watford fan Danny Porter added: “Lewis Dunk went full Phil Jones. Never go full Phil Jones.”
And Matthew Leggett tweeted out: “Lewis Dunk has been studying at the Phil Jones school of defending.”
Many shared hilarious memes showing that infamous Jones moment.
But when the Brighton man looks back at the incident, at least he can say it didn’t lead to a goal conceded.
The two teams drew 2-2 in an entertaining affair at the Amex.
