Sancho’s morale at the Bundesliga club has hit rock-bottom following series of events that has left him feeling victimised.
The first came when the 19-year-old was dropped and fined £86,000 for returning to the club late from international duty.
Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc said there was “no alternative” but to punish the teenager.
He was also forced to train on his own by running in the “pouring rain.”
The next and most damning embarrassment arrived during Dortmund’s 4-0 thrashing of rivals Bayern Munich.
With the score at 1-0, Sancho was sensationally hooked off after just 36 minutes with manager Lucian Favre confirming it was a tactical decision.
According to the Athletic, the England superstar felt like the club purposely made him a scapegoat and have not offered him any protection from supporters.
Dortmund are already fully aware that they will cash in on Sancho at some point but the player’s representatives are ready to make clubs aware of his availability in the summer.
United looked into the possibility of signing him before the start of the season but Dortmund were keen to hang onto him for at least another year.
It is reported that both Real Madrid and Barca are also ready to make a statement and lure the former Manchester City man to Spain.
Liverpool also hold an interest in his signature but it will mean Jurgen Klopp will need to reshuffle the pack with Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane taking the wide spots.
Zorc has previously said of Sancho’s future: “You don’t have to be a prophet to know he won’t play here for another five years.
“He has taken this positive development [at Dortmund]. I doubt that would have been possible with top English clubs.”
He will not move on the cheap and Dortmund will be looking to hold out for around £100million for his signature.
