Furious Chelsea fans demand Hudson-Odoi is sold to Bayern after giving ball away for Southampton goal

CHELSEA fans turned on Callum Hudson-Odoi after the starlet gave possession away before Southampton opened the lead.

The England winger gave the ball away outside his own half and set the Saints on their way to open an attack.

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg played it into Michael Obafemi who drove at the Blues backline, came in on his left foot and fired into the top corner.

Stunned Chelsea fans pinned the blame on 19-year-old Hudson-Odoi, and called for the wideman to join Bayern Munich.

One said: “Hudson-Odoi is the worst player at Chelsea. Should’ve taken 40m from Bayern and never look back.”

Another said: “Bayern Munich can have Callum Hudson-Odoi for free.”

One added: “Hudson odoi is overrated… Chelsea should have cashed in on him when bayern wanted him.”

Hudson-Odoi came into the side as boss Frank Lampard made rotations from the Blues derby win at Tottenham last week.

The teenager has made just six starts in his 17 appearances this season after returning to the squad in September.

He suffered an Achilles injury in April that looks to have affected his form on the pitch since coming back into the squad.

The potential Hudson-Odoi has shown, however, earned him a new five-years Stamford Bridge deal that put an end to speculation he would move to Germany.

Bundesliga champions Bayern launched several bids worth up to £40m for the winger, but Lampard is adamant he views the forward as a vital part of his future plans.
