DUNCAN FERGUSON was off to the perfect start as Everton manager as he wore his iconic club sweatband under his suit.
The Toffees hero inspired his struggling side to a stunning 3-1 victory over Chelsea on a memorable afternoon at Goodison Park.

Ferguson has been named interim boss following the sacking of Marco Silva while they look for a permanent appointment.
Ferguson is a huge fan favourite among the Everton faithful scoring 58 goals in 230 appearances for the club.
The 47-year-old was rarely seen without his famous club sweatband that he wore on his left wrist throughout his playing days at Goodison Park.
And it appears even 13 years after retiring Ferguson couldn’t resist beginning his temporary managerial career still wearing the sweatband…under his suit.
Looking animated on the touchline, he was still wearing the item in a throwback to his playing days.
And it proved to be a lucky garment with his side running out winners to lift them out of the relegation zone.
He celebrated two of the goals by taking a leaf out of Jose Mourinho’s books by running down the touchline and celebrating with two different ballboys.
Richarlison opened the scoring in the opening five minutes before Dominic Calvert-Lewin doubled their advantage.
Ferguson is obviously embracing the opportunity to manage the club he achieved success with after lifting the FA Cup in 1995.
The club are braced to interview potential managers over the next week including former Bayern boss Niko Kovac.
The Croatian was seen by fans in the directors’ box near chairman Bill Kenwright and owner Farhad Moshiri against Chelsea today.
David Moyes has been sensationally linked with a reunion with the club while Carlo Ancelotti’s name is also in the pipeline.
