Duncan Ferguson slammed for ‘humiliating’ Moise Kean by subbing Everton star after just 18 MINUTES vs Man Utd

DUNCAN FERGUSON has been slammed for substituting Moise Kean just 18 minutes after he had put the 19-year-old on during Everton’s 1-1 draw at Old Trafford.

The Toffees were leading 1-0 when Kean came on to replace Bernard on 70 minutes and less than 20 minutes later he was storming down the tunnel after Everton’s temporary boss hauled him off again.

Mason Greenwood grabbed United’s late equaliser on 77 minutes – seven minutes after Kean had come on – but it would be hard to blame the former Juventus man for the Red Devils’ goal.

Ferguson claimed after the game he only made the change to kill a bit of time and because Everton had “so many strikers on the bench”.

But most people found that hard to believe as Ferguson totally blanked Kean as he came off, turning away from the youngster without making eye contact or uttering a word.

Asked after the game for his thoughts on the seemingly harsh decision, Ferguson said: “Yeah, you know what, it wasn’t because of Moise Kean’s performance.

“I just needed to make a substitution to kill a bit of time.

“I’ve got so many strikers on the bench, I just decided to make that change.

“It was nothing personal to Moise Kean really.”

However, fans online did not have much time for the Scot’s stance.

One posted: “Duncan Ferguson has absolutely humiliated Moise Kean.

“A) By subbing a sub.

“B) By replacing him with Oumar Niasse.”

Another added: “Really shameful management, that.

Trasface said: “Didn’t look like Ferguson even made eye contact with Moise Kean, never mind explained why he was taking him off, that can’t be good.”

Before Hasan Alikhan replied: “His entire demeanour is as if he’s playing for the cameras. Poor man management from him.”
