Rakitic has been vocal about his lack of playing time at the Nou Camp this season, making just 10 appearances.

Despite the player insisting he wants to remain at Barca, the club is open to selling him.

And according to Sport, negotiations are already underway – but an unnamed Prem outfit were £18m short of their asking price.

Manchester United – who face another battle to hold on to French star Paul Pogba in the winter window – have been linked with Rakitic.

Atletico Madrid as well as Italian giants AC and Inter Milan along with Juventus are also long-time admirers of the Croatian.

And it is claimed the midfielder does not want to move to England.

Instead, Serie A champions Juve is the club that most interests Rakitic if he is to end his five season spell at the Nou Camp.

However, Old Lady bosses are keen on loaning the ex-Seville ace, which does not suit Barca after their excessive summer spending, splashing £220m.

But with Blaise Matuidi’s contract expiring at the end of the season, Juve want to sell the Frenchman in the winter and replace him with a loanee.
