Sako made his Premier League debut against Fulham in January, when he became the first footballer born in 2001 to play in the top flight.
The attacking midfielder is now a regular for the Gunners and praised former boss Unai Emery for handing him the opportunity.
He also told BBC Sport: ”I have a lot of thanks to give him [Emery] because he gave me so much confidence, he gave me my debut and he kept pushing me. I am grateful to him always.
”It’s just something I have always dreamed of, coming up from the academy to the first team”.
He is yet to take to the pitch for the international senior side, though.
Sako was born to Nigerian parents and is eligible to play for either the Three Lions or the Super Eagles.
On making the crucial decision, he said: ”I am always thinking about it but I haven’t made a decision yet.”
He’s been in sensational form since joining the Gunners first team this season, scoring two goals and getting five assists in 15 appearances across all competitions.
Now, he is looking to keep the momentum going under newly appointed Gunners boss and former Manchester City assistant manager Mikel Arteta.
The young starlet went on to say: ”I have heard positive things about him and I am looking forward to working with him.”
