ARSENAL boss Unai Emery incredibly claimed his team “had improved” despite a shocking 2-1 defeat at home to Eintracht Frankfurt.
Although they took the lead in their Europa League clash, the Gunners blew it big time to lose and then be booed off by their own fans.

It followed a dismal 2-2 home draw in the Premier League against Southampton where a point was salvaged by Alexandre Lacazette’s 96th-minute equaliser.
Arsenal are now without a win in seven games in all competitions – their worst run since 1992.
And it leaves the Spaniard on the brink of the sack as his odds to get the boot shortened still further with the bookies.
But despite the laboured and disinterested showing against Frankfurt, Emery said that he had seen improvement in the performance.

Speaking to BT Sport, Emery said: “I am being positive but I’m also realistic and we lost against a good opponent.
“We have improved from our last match and we are still first and have the opportunity to qualify, but we missed the opportunity tonight.”
Arsenal failed to manage a single shot on target in the second half despite starting a front three of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli.
But according to the beleaguered boss, the game should have been put to bed in the first 45.
He added: “We lost here but for the Europa League, we have the last match to achieve that.
“We showed an improvement in the first half and we had a lot of opportunities to score but we did not take them.
“The first five or ten minutes of the second half were good but then we lost control for 15 minutes and we could not change the result.
“We tried to come back but we did not create any big opportunities to score.”
SunSport reported how many fans in the half-empty Emirates held up “Emery out” banners as the patience wears extremely thin.
Granit Xhaka, playing his first game since THAT X-rated spat with his own fans after being substituted against Crystal Palace, was also slammed by fans after being spotted laughing and joking at full-time.
