GRAEME SOUNESS has revealed even he is sad that “the classiest club in British football” Arsenal are now “rudderless.”
The Liverpool and Rangers legend was stunned by the Gunners’ incompetence as they lost 3-0 to champions Manchester City at home on Sunday.

Kevin De Bruyne’s magical double and Raheem Sterling’s tap-in saw Pep Guardiola’s side breeze past the North Londoners with ease.
Arsenal are now ninth on 22 points from 17 games and are a massive 27 points behind Prem leaders Liverpool.
Souness said on Sky Sports: “This club has always been the classiest football club in British football, they always did everything right.
“And right now they seem to be rudderless, in terms of making football decisions.
“They’ve not made a decision yet knowing this was coming up. And I just see this football club as drifting.
FURTHER AWAY THAN EVER
“It’s all to do with non-football people making football decisions. And they’re at a real crossroads.”
The tough-tackling former midfielder also pinpointed the move to the new stadium just yards from grand old Highbury as a move that should have fired them into the stratosphere.
But despite the 60,000-seater ground making massive money from corporate hospitality, it is not the fortress the old ground once was.
He added: “They moved to this stadium from Highbury to join the big league, to be one of the big teams in Europe.
“They’re further away now than they were when they were at Highbury.
“It’s not happened for them.”
