Antoine Griezmann ‘already thinking about Barca exit’ just months after £107m transfer from Atletico

ANTOINE GRIEZMANN is claimed to be considering his future at Barcelona just half a season after he finally joined them.

Griezmann waited two years before he actually completed his long-awaited move to the Nou Camp last summer in a deal worth £108million.

It was thought the the World Cup winner would make an immediate impact with the Spanish champions turning them into the most fearsome attacking units in the world.

With Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez already at the club, Griezmann was expected to slot straight in and show why the club were so desperate to prise him away from Atletico Madrid.

But all has not gone to plan for the 28-year-old, who has struggled to produce his best form since making the move from Atleti.

There have been rumours that the France star does not enjoy a good relationship with team leader Messi, which both players have denied.

But with just four goals from 15 appearances for the LaLiga champions, there is already growing unrest among some sections of the fans about the level of his displays.

And now respected Spanish football pundit Eduardo Inda has come out and claimed Griezmann has already started to look at options away from Barca at the end of the season.

Inda, appearing on the popular El Chiringuito show, suggested sources within the player’s camp had let it be known he was contemplating leaving just six months after finally arriving.

Having invested so much time and money to finally capture the playmaker, it seems unlikely that the club will be willing to give up on him so soon.

But he has found it difficult adjusting the to role manager Erneseto Valverde wants him to play since arriving.

And with Barca director of football Eric Abidal admitting they have not given up on signing Neymar next year, there is the prospect that they may be willing to sacrifice one of their attacking players.

Initially that was going to be Ousmane Dembele, but with PSG linked to Griezmann in the past, it could end up being an ideal situation for all concerned.
