TYSON FURY will demand a 50-50 split to fight Anthony Joshua.
AJ has been the British heavyweight hero since his home 2012 Olympic win but the Gypsy King’s comeback from mental illness and draw with Deontay Wilder have made him box-office news.
Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury are eyeing an all-British showdown
Promoter Frank Warren wants to make a clash between the UK icons in 2020 after Fury completes a trilogy against the Bronze Bomber.
And Warren says his man’s new profile means he will be able to demand pay parity with Watford’s golden boy.
Warren said: “To make that fight, it’s a 50-50 split now.
“Tyson is the bigger star after the Wilder fight. His two recent US wins and stint on WWE also mean Tyson now has a bigger US profile than Anthony, but we will forgive him for that.
“The fight has now become a 50-50 fight. If we both have deals with broadcasters, we just put it on both channels.
“On our side, there is not a single stumbling block to making that fight.”
Eddie Hearn has admitted that Joshua could be forced to accept a 50-50 split to face the winner of Fury’s clash with Wilder.
AJ’s promoter said: “He hopes Fury wins because he knows Fury will fight him.
“The whole problem is, that they all wanted 50-50. Neither of them [Wilder or Fury] deserved it.
“Do they deserve it now? There’s a good argument. AJ has lost, but he has come back, he’s still a huge star. But we all need each other and we acknowledge that now.
“Ultimately we get to a stage where AJ just wants the fight, if he thinks it’s not worth 50-50, he’ll probably suffer it because he just wants the fight now.”
