What capacity is the Diriyah Arena?

THE new-look Diriyah Arena will host the mega rematch, which has the potential to be one of the fights of the decade.

Purpose-built for this bout, the stadium has been designed from the ground up to be a boxing paradise for both fans and fighters.

UK exhibitor and event contractor Arena have played a huge part in getting the venue into shape for December 7.

It has a capacity of 15,000, with ticket sales strong heading into the world title clash.

How long did it take to build?

SAUDI ARABIA are relatively new on the boxing scene and have constructed the Diriyah Arena specially for this fight.

To get to the stadium, fans will have to pass through the Diriyah Oasis, which is a hive of activity and will host more sporting events in the future.

From the ground up, the Arena has taken just under TWO months to build, with around 175 staff and workmen working tirelessly.

Paul Berger, CEO for Arena Middle East and Asia, said: “It’s incredible what we’ve managed to achieve in just six weeks. We’re really proud of our UK and Middle East divisions, who have spent the last six weeks working with a team of 175 people to deliver a project of such scale and specification.

“We are one of the few companies that can offer a full turnkey solution for events of this size, from design and construction through to the luxurious high quality interiors and we are honoured to be involved in a part of history for the Diriyah season and this exciting series of mega events.”
