Eddie Hearn confident Anthony Joshua will fly out to US to spar Tyson Fury and promises fight between Brit rivals

EDDIE HEARN has guaranteed a super-fight between Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury – and reckons they could share the ring in sparring before doing so.

Joshua, fresh off reclaiming the unified belts with a rematch win over Andy Ruiz Jr in Saudi Arabia, backed Fury to beat WBC king Deontay Wilder in their rematch in February.

And 6ft 6in AJ even offered to help the Gypsy King prepare for 6ft 7in heavy-hitter Wilder with some sparring sessions – which Fury accepted.

AJ explained he wants Fury to win the WBC title as soon as possible, so they can fight for the unified belts.

He is not confident Wilder will face him, so he offered to spar the Gypsy King in order to help the Brit best prepare to beat the Bronze Bomber – setting up an all-British unification.

And promoter Eddie Hearn told iFL TV the domestic rivals WILL definitely fight, even if Fury is beaten by Wilder next year, and refused to rule out the Brit pair sparring each other.

Hearn said: “[Sparring Fury is] going to be interesting with AJ’s schedule. How are you going to do that?

“I wouldn’t be surprised if he ended up flying out there and doing some rounds.

“They’ll definitely fight, win or lose. If Fury loses against Wilder, I promise you AJ and Fury will fight at some stage in the future.

“I can’t say the same about Wilder.”

Fury left glowing remarks after he spared a then amateur Joshua in 2010 – and predicted the Watford ace’s future superstardom.

The Gypsy King said nine-years ago: “He’s very good. To be honest with you, I thought to myself ‘I’m only going to take it easy as he’s an amateur and we probably won’t spar again if I go mad.

“He’s rushed out at me he threw a one-two and left-hook and I slipped, slipped and I thought he’s not very good I’m going to take my time.

“Then bash he hits me with a big uppercut right on the point of the chin – if I had a bit of a weak chin like David Price I would’ve been knocked out for a month.

“He’s very, very good and only young, 20, watch out for that name Anthony Joshua he is one prospect for the future.”
