Conor McGregor urges Tyson Fury to get back with Ben Davison after shock split with trainer ahead of Wilder fight

CONOR McGREGOR has urged Tyson Fury to get back with Ben Davison after their shock split.

The Gypsy King parted ways with friend Davison just two months before he rematches Deontay Wilder for the WBC world title.

But UFC star McGregor, 31, told the unbeaten heavyweight to reconsider his decision.

He tweeted: “Get over it men and get back to work. Finish the job.”

The parting came as a huge shock after Fury credited Davison for turning his career around as he battled depression and substance abuse on the sidelines.

Rookie trainer Davison helped the Gypsy King trim down to 18st after ballooning up to 28st during the height of his boxing hiatus.

Together the pair won four of their five fights but were desperately unlucky not to walk away with the decision against Wilder last year in Los Angeles.

On the same day it was revealed Fury left Davison, the 31-year-old posted a picture on Instagram with the caption: “Getting the old team back up and running.”

In a throwback snap, Fury poses with legendary trainer Emanuel Steward at the famous Kronk gym, Detroit, with former world champion Andy Lee also pictured.

On the left of the picture stands Javan ‘Sugar’ Hill, who will be the new man in the heavyweight’s corner.

Hill is the nephew of Hall of Fame trainer Steward, who guided Wladimir Klitschko to heavyweight supremacy but died in 2012.

After his death Hill took over the reigns and will welcome the 6ft 9in traveller back to Michigan after Fury first visited in 2009 and later sparred with Klitschko.
