CANELO ALVAREZ’S trainer has firmly denied claims of fixing fights and dehydrating opponents.
A number of former world champion boxers questioned whether the Mexican’s KO win over Sergey Kovalev was a fix.

Viewers were convinced the entire win was staged as Canelo floored the Russian in the 11th round to become a four-weight world champion.
But Eddy Reynoso, who is the 29-year-old’s trainer and manager, has insisted that that is not the case.
Speaking to ESPN Deportes, he said: “First of all, I want to clarify, as coach and manager of Saul, that we do not dehydrate anyone or fix or buy fights or rivals.
“We have always adapted to the conditions of the rivals and even [Floyd] Mayweather we accept his agreed weight of 152 pounds.
“It seems that there are dark intentions to discredit our fighter and more than anything, try to minimise his achievements.”
After the win over Kovalev, Canelo claimed that it was his plan to remain patient until he saw the chance to knock his opponent out.
He said: “I provide history and guarantees.
“The plan overall was to be patient. I’m good at waiting. All credit to him [Kovalev].
“He’s a great fighter. We have to see for 2020. We have to see what’s best for us.”
