Watch Tyson Fury’s dad John ‘break Guinness World Record for most Ferrero Rocher eaten in a minute’ in hilarious video

TYSON FURY’S dad John smashed back ten Ferrero Rochers to join his son as a world champion.
In a hilarious video posted on Tyson’s socials, Fury Senior was seen attempting to eat ten of the chocolates in under a minute to eclipse the current Guinness World Record.

Tyson announced his dad as the new world record holder in boxing style

In what appeared to be an unofficial attempt at the record set in 2012, John Fury finished his tenth piece of chocolate after 54.94 seconds.
The 56-year-old was chuffed to bits with his champion eating efforts, raising both his hands aloft in celebration before high-fiving his son and coach SugarHill Steward.
He said: “I said I was good at something.
“I’ve won the world title at something!”

And in typical boxing fashion, 32-year-old Tyson even gave dad John a proper introduction after blitzing the existing record of nine with five seconds to spare.
He added: “And the new world record holder Ferrero Rocher from the United Kingdom… John Fury!”
The Fury clan found a novel way to pass the time in the airport after travelling to Latvia.
The Gypsy King was supporting his cousin Hosea Burton for his WBO European light-heavyweight title fight against Ricards Bolotniks.

But despite some ferocious family backing Burton was defeated via unanimous decision.

Tyson Fury hires a scooter in Latvia before singing We Are The Champions with a busker as he supports mate Hosea Burton

TYSON FURY hired a scooter and sang with a busker as he enjoyed his trip out to Riga in Latvia.
The WBC heavyweight champion has travelled to the Baltic country to support his friend Hosea Burton, who fights Ricards Bolotniks in the Golden Contract semi-finals.

But Fury was determined to take in the sights of the historic city of Riga, hiring a green scooter to get around.
He decided to stop to listen to a musician on the cobbled streets, and then joined in singing the Queen classic We Are The Champions along with some of his friends.
The 6ft 7in boxer then bent down to put some money into the busker’s collection pot.
Earlier in the week Fury uploaded a clip to Instagram showing he is still preparing for the trilogy fight against Deontay Wilder.

That has been rumoured to be pencilled in for December, with a victory likely to set up an undisputed clash against fellow Brit Anthony Joshua.
Fury showed off the explosive combination punching and left hooks that led him to victory against Wilder in a video.
In the clip, Fury, 32, drills his left hook, the shot that floored the Bronze Bomber in round five of their title fight in February.
He captioned the post: “Sharpening that steel daily, 10xleft hook, Call me Captain Hook.”

Tyson Fury’s brother Roman, 23, set to become family’s NINTH pro boxer despite having NO amateur experience

TYSON FURY has revealed that his younger brother Roman is set to become the NINTH professional boxer in his family.
The WBC heavyweight champion’s 23-year-old sibling has no amateur experience but has been training with the Gypsy King during lockdown.

    1

Tyson Fury’s younger brother Roman, middle, has taken up boxing

Tyson Fury, 32, is already one of the best heavyweight boxers in the world, with his younger brother, Love Island star Tommy, 21, is 3-0 in the light-heavyweight division.
Roman had been intending to follow a different career path before taking up boxing with his siblings over the past few months.
Tyson told iFL TV: “Just signing him [Roman] up now, he’s 23-years-old, he’s an aspiring cruiserweight champion of the future.
“Southpaw, tall, 6ft 2ins, in good shape.

Hasn’t had any amateur fights, but he’s been around the game a long time so born and bred into it
Tyson Fury on his brother Roman

“We’re gonna try and get him – when the boxing starts again – maybe four or five fights within the boxing season and keep him busy for the next couple of years.
“He’s learning on the job, like Canelo was. Gonna get him to about 20-0 before we move him up.
“He’s 23, nearly 24. Hasn’t had any amateur fights, but he’s been around the game a long time so born and bred into it.
“We’ll get him a few fights and see how he goes on. Sugar Hill’s teaching him that Kronk style, he’s learning.”

Roman, like his brother Shane, had kept a relatively low profile in the Fury family with Tyson, Tommy and cousin Hughie all boxing stars.
He explained in the iFL interview: “When lockdown happened I had nothing else to do.
“I had no work on, as many people didn’t, and I had the opportunity to go and train.
“So I did it, got fit, lost a bit of weight and I just fell in love with it.

I’ve put everything on hold and I’m gonna give it my best and see how we go…It’s like an experiment, I wanna see how far I can go
    Roman Fury

“I thought, ‘I’ve always wanted to do it, so why not now?’
“So I’ve put everything on hold and I’m gonna give it my best and see how we go…It’s like an experiment, I wanna see how far I can go.
“Just started it now at 23, but it’s all about self-belief and I do have a lot of that.”
Roman said his older brother Tyson told him if he is going to become a boxer he has to be a hundred percent committed.

The 51-year-old revealed the pair are both doing VADA anti-doping testing, but insisted he would face Iron Mike in the ring regardless of the results.
Speaking on the RJJ Boxing show on UFC Fight Pass, he said: “There is testing. They came and tested me last week, and they tested Mike last week.
“It would concern you if you were concerned about having advantages. But for me, I’m the kinda guy, I’m old school, you know what I mean?
“I hope you pass the test, but when I turn my attention to you, I want you, I don’t give a damn what you got, I want you.

He added: “Back in the day, I actually wanted to fight Mike. When I won the heavyweight title, that was the only other heavyweight I wanted to fight, Mike Tyson.

Anthony Joshua will vacate WBO belt to fight Tyson Fury in mouthwatering world title bout, predicts Usyk’s promoter

OLEKSANDR USYK’S team believes Anthony Joshua will vacate the WBO belt to fight Tyson Fury.
Usyk is the manadatory challenger for that strap – but he might not get the chance to fight the Watford-born heavyweight.

    3

Should AJ made a successful defence of his world titles against Kubrat Pulev in December, and Tyson Fury beats Deontay Wilder in their trilogy, it would set up the Battle of Britain.
But Alexander Krassyuk, Usyk’s co-promoter, believes Joshua will have to vacate the WBO belt for that to happen.
Speaking to MyBettingSites.com, Krassyuk said: “Usyk is mandatory for the WBO title, he is not mandatory for AJ personally.
“He is mandatory for the belt and whoever owns the belt is the possible opponent.

“Many people from a boxing audience would love to see Usyk and AJ, especially here in the Ukraine but also throughout the world.
“[But] Fury-AJ is much more anticipated because they are two British guys, two heavyweights.
“Maybe there’s a chance that they’re going to fight for the undisputed championship, which has never happened before in the history of boxing. This is a cherry on the cake.”
Fury revealed at the start of coronavirus lockdown that the two Brits had agreed on two fights in 2021.

Usyk has been the WBO’s mandatory since he decided to move up to heavyweight after being crowned undisputed cruiserweight champ.
But Krassyuk thinks his man Usyk will miss out on the chance to hand Joshua his second pro defeat.
He added: “If there is a chance for AJ to fight Fury, I think he will vacate, that’s my personal feeling.
“We agreed that as soon as AJ fights Pulev and wins, he will have to face Usyk. This is our agreement but never on paper.
“This is what we agreed with Eddie when we gave the road for Pulev and AJ for the IBF.
“But there was also a term in the case the Fury fight turns out – then AJ may choose Fury as the principal fight.
“But one remark: it [AJ versus Fury] cannot happen for the WBO belt, AJ would have to vacate.
“Anything could happen, things like Fury Wilder III may end up in favour of Wilder and if it goes that way Fury versus AJ is not actual anymore.
“It’s so uncertain, that making plans now is stupid.”
Before Usyk can start thinking about a WBO title tilt he has the ominous presence of Dereck Chisora to deal with.
The two larger-than-life personalities will fight on October 31.

Boxers with the worst records in history including Mr Reliable Kristian Laight with 279 defeats and just 12 wins

SOME of the best fighters in the world have run up impressive win records, from Floyd Mayweather’s perfect 50 to Rocky Marciano’s 49-0.
Yet the sport has also seen plenty of journeymen who spend much of their professional careers getting up from the floor.

    11

Here’s our list of the top journeymen with the worst records in boxing.
    Donnie Penelton: 13-166
Donnie Penelton from Mississippi competed in the light heavyweight division from 1990 to 2009.
Nicknamed the Black Battle Cat, Penelton won his first three professional fights, but but spent the rest of the nineties suffering a succession of defeats.

    11

During the decade he competed in 103 fights, winning only six.

He secured his fourth professional win in 1992, but didn’t taste victory for another four years, suffering a remarkable 32-fight losing streak.
He then beat that record with a 34-fight losing streak from 1996 to 1998.

    11

After 19 years of boxing, Penelton finished off his career in 2009, losing his 35th consecutive fight – a TKO to Ronson Frank.
The Black Battle Cat ended his run with just 13 wins and 167 defeats.

    Peter Buckley: 32-256
Nicknamed The Professor, Peter Buckley was an English boxer who competed in the welterweight division from 1989 until 2008, competing in 300 professional fights.
Buckley had a decent professional start, winning six following a draw and a defeat.

In 1991, Buckley boasted a 17-10 record but his career quickly declined and he failed to win two consecutive fights in a row ever again.
From 1992 to 1994, The Professor went on a 17-fight losing streak until he finally landed a win against Conn McMullen.
He wrapped up his career in 2008 with a decision victory over Matin Muhammad, ending an impressive 86-fight losing streak.

Buckley’s professional record ended with 32 wins and 256 losses.
    Robin Deakin: 2-53
Dubbed Britain’s worst boxer, Robin Deakin fought from 2006 to 2017, stinking up the lightweight division with a staggering run of defeats.
He won his debut fight against Shaun Walton via a decision, but that proved his only victory for the next nine years.

From 2007 until 2015, Deakin lost an astonishing 51 consecutive fights, including 12 by knockout.
His boxing license was revoked for his own safety because authorities thought he’d never win.
In an interview with the Daily Mirror, Deakin stood by his boxing dreams, saying: “I’m a fighter. I’m going to fight my way back to the top – you’ll see.”
Despite his horrendous record, Deakin never gave up and won his second fight against Deniss Kornilovs in 2015.
Deakin even called out his doubters after the shock win, saying: “All those people that called me Britain’s worst boxer can eat their words, they just made me punch harder.”

After taking two years away from the sport, Deakin returned in 2017, losing twice that year to end his career with a 2-53 record.
    Kristian Laight: 12-279
Kristian Laight was a 15-year professional who fought in the lightweight division from 2003 to 2018.
He was dubbed Mr Reliable after making his debut in 2003, losing his first five fights.

He picked up his first win in 2004, when he knocked off Jaz Virdee via a decision.
It was his only win for two years, as Laight went on a 16-fight losing streak until he landed a second win in 2006.
Throughout his career, Laight never won two fights in a row.

After 15 long years, he hung up the gloves after losing his 279th fight, the most in boxing history.
His historic record stands at 12-279.
    Reggie Strickland: 66-276
Before Kristian Laight there was Reggie Strickland, the ultimate boxing journeyman.
Raglin’ Reggie started his career in 1987 in the middleweight division and continued until 2005.

During a painful career, he got knocked out 26 times

Strickland was often used as a professional opponent for up-and-coming boxers.

Anthony Joshua willing to vacate WBO heavyweight belt to seal Tyson Fury fight rather than face mandatory Usyk defence

PROMOTER Eddie Hearn has revealed Anthony Joshua would be willing to vacate his WBO belt to face Tyson Fury next year.
The 30-year-old has agreed terms on a two-fight deal to pit his wits against the WBC champion in 2021.

    2

And Hearn stated last week how he is ready to send out a formal contract for the undisputed domestic dust-up.
But AJ faces the prospect of having to fight Oleksandr Usyk first should he beat Kubrat Pulev later this year.
Unbeaten Ukrainian Usyk is in line to face Joshua, and if he emerges victorious against Dereck Chisora next month, he will be the WBO mandatory challenger.
Hearn has insisted that even though Joshua is keen to meet Usyk inside the ring, he will prioritise a clash against the Gypsy King.

Speaking to Boxing Social, he said: “There’s been a lot of talk about ‘give up the belt,’ but the aim for Anthony Joshua is to be the undisputed heavyweight champion.

    2

Unbeaten Ukrainian star Oleksandr Usyk is in line to face Joshua next yearCredit: News Group Newspapers Ltd
“Will a belt get in the way of him fighting Tyson Fury next? Probably not.
“Will he vacate a belt and fight Tyson Fury next? Yes, I believe he would if he had to, but would he rather maintain all the belts? One million percent.
“I know Tyson Fury has said, ‘I already had all the belts.’ I know, but you’ve never been undisputed.

“I hope that means something to people because it means a lot to Anthony Joshua if we get to a position where AJ is fighting Fury regardless of whether the WBO allows their title to be on the line.
“It’s almost like I want to go to Usyk and say, ‘Look, we’re going to vacate the title, but can we vacate it the day after the fight?’”
