      Jake Paul vs Anderson Silva: Date, UK start time, live stream and undercard for massive boxing match-up

      JAKE PAUL returns to the ring next month in a highly-anticipated bout against MMA legend Anderson Silva. The Problem Child was due to fight Tommy Fury in August but plans fell through after an issue with the Brit’s US visa.

      A bout with Hasim Rahman Jr was also set up, but that also fell through due to a problem making weight on the heavyweight fighter’s side.
      Now 47-year-old Silva will step up to plate, in what is a massive step-up for Paul, who knocked out Tyron Woodley last December.
      Silva has been in the boxing ring before, beating former world champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr last year, before knocking out UFC veteran Tito Ortiz a few months later.
      And now the Brazilian will get one of the biggest paydays of his career to face Paul, who has yet to lose in the squared circle.

      When is Paul vs Silva?

      Paul’s big clash with Silva will take place on Saturday, October 29.
      The bout will be held at the Gila River Arena in Glendale, Arizona, US.
      Ring-walks will commence from around 4am UK time on Sunday, October 30 in the UK.

      Paul vs Silva will be available to watch in the UK on Fite TV for a price yet to be determined.
      You can live stream the action from the Fite TV app, which is available for download onto your mobile or tablet device.
      In the US, Paul vs Silva will be available to watch on Showtime PPV.

      There is yet to be an official announcement on who will be fighting on the undercard of Paul vs Silva.
      It isn’t likely that Amanda Serrano will be on there, as she is fighting just a month earlier on the Joe Joyce vs Joseph Parker undercard.

      “Anderson Silva is the nicest guy in the world and we love him,” Paul said at the press conference.
      “If my opponent is a d***head, I’m going to treat him like a d***head and beat his f ass and I think people have seen that side of me.
      “But I respect this man. I’m still going to knock him out but respectfully knock him out.”
      Silva said: “Listen, everything is possible. Jake and [his] brother are training hard [to become] boxers. [They] try to [show] respect for the community. The kids have good potential and the people need to respect that.”

      JAKE PAUL is moving down in weight to start a path to the light-heavyweight division and future super-fights. The YouTuber-turned prizefighter has so far campaigned around 190lb in his 5-0 career.

      But his return bout against Anderson Silva on October 29 in Arizona will be at a 187lb catchweight.
      Paul has plans to transition into the 175lb light-heavyweight division, where he previously revealed lofty plans of winning a world title.
      Meanwhile Conor McGregor, 34, and Nate Diaz, 37, have both fought at 170lb in their UFC careers.
      Paul, 25, told Showtime: “I’m just starting to go down in weight in my boxing career.

      “I’ll probably end up at light-heavyweight, at 175. And that’s where I should be.
      “I hadn’t really cut that much weight for my other fights, so I’m just getting to a lighter weight where I’m gonna feel at my best.
      “And taking on different competition at that weight class. As soon as I said I was going down to 185, that’s when Tommy Fury said, ‘Oh, I’ll fight you now’.
      “I think he was scared to fight me at a little bit of a heavier of weight, so I’ll be able to get different level of competition.

      “Nate Diaz is down a in a lower weight class, Conor McGregor is in a lower weight class. So it just makes sense for me to come down.”
      Paul beat online rival “AnEsonGib”, 26, and ex-NBA star Nate Robinson, 38, in his first two professional bouts in 2020.
      And a year later, he beat ex-UFC pair Ben Askren, 38, and Tyron Woodley, 40, knocking out the former UFC champion in their rematch.
      But following pullouts from Tommy Fury, 23, and Hasim Rahman Jr, 31, he was still left without facing a recognised boxer.
      UFC icon Silva, 47, will go some way to changing that, having had four wins and only one loss in the ring.

      So now the YouTuber-turned boxer is ready to put his money where his mouth is with an eye-watering wager.
      Paul said: “No one thought I’d take this fight, even Dana White did not think I would take this fight.
      “And Dana, I know you’re watching, bro, you still owe me a million dollars from when you bet against me on Ben Askren.
      “I want you to come out of hiding, stop being a bitch and make a bet against me and Anderson, and actually pay up this time.

      “Because you didn’t think that I would take this fight. So let’s make a bet, let’s put one mil, two mil, five mil on it.
      “But I bet you won’t Dana, because you’re a bitch.”
      Paul, 25, made his pro debut in 2020, beating online rival “AnEsonGib”, 26, in one round before knocking out ex-NBA star Nate Robinson, 38.
      He then KO’d retired UFC welterweight Askren, 38, in a fight he told Mike Tyson he would bet $1m on Paul losing.

      Since then, the prizefighter has twice beaten ex-UFC champion Tyron Woodley, 40, firstly on points and then by KO.
      During that period, Tommy Fury, 23, has twice pulled out of facing Paul, firstly for a rib injury and then a US visa issue.
      Hasim Rahman Jr, 31, a 13-1 heavyweight, signed to replace Fury in August until a weight disagreement cancelled their bout.
      So he will return against UFC legend Silva, 47, who also holds a 5-1 record in the ring and beat ex-champ Julio Cesar Chavez Jr, 36, in 2021.
      Paul said: “This is it. This is a make-or-break moment.
      “I know that I have someone who just beat a former world champion boxer in front of me.
      “I don’t take him lightly at all. He’s the GOAT of striking, he’s the GOAT of MMA.”

      Lomachenko in February signed up to a territorial defence battalion amid Russia’s invasion on his homeland.
      He was offered the chance to challenge for the undisputed crown against George Kambosos Jr this year.
      But Lomachenko turned it down due to the ongoing war, with Devin Haney later defeating Kambosos.
      Promoter Bob Arum said: “Vasiliy Lomachenko is a credit to his country and the sport of boxing.

      Hearn told DAZN: “Dillian Whyte is not a fight for December, but it is a fight for March and the summer, 100 per cent.
      “It’s a big stadium fight in the UK. You’ve got Filip Hrgovic, who just won.

      “I think it was a poor performance from him. Zhilei Zhang looked good. Otto Wallin also had a close fight with Tyson Fury.
      “Dillian Whyte is a very good fight. I want to give Dillian Whyte a fight in November, and then I would like to make the AJ fight, subject to the Tyson Fury stuff.”
      Wallin, 31, gave Fury 47 stitches in 2019 but lost in a tight points verdict.
      And Hrgovic, 30, only narrowly beat Zhang, 39, on the undercard of Usyk rematch with over AJ.

      The Ukrainian, 35, was expected to face Fury, 34, in the heavyweight division’s first four-belt unification bout.
      But Usyk has ruled himself out until next year as he rests and recovers with family having returned to his war-torn home.
      So Fury made the unexpected decision to call out beaten Joshua and claimed he had November 26 and December 3 booked for a bout.
      Although talks between the opposing camps have been put on hold following the death of Queen Elizabeth II.

      CONOR BENN looked ripped and ready for war after ten rounds of sparring – while mocking Chris Eubank Jr for suffering “daddy issues”. The son of British boxing legend Nigel is set to face Eubank Jr on October 8 at the O2 Arena.

      But the fight for the ages has been thrown into doubt after Eubank Sr claimed he wants his son OUT of the bout.
      Benn took the chance to aim a dig at his dad’s famous rival and Eubank Jr.
      Sharing a picture with Felix Cash, he posted: “Just sparred 10 rounds…. While Someone’s having DADDY ISSUES.”
      Welterweight Benn, 25, is having to jump up 10lb from his usual fighting weight of 147lb.

      Whereas Eubank Jr, 32, is coming down from the 160lb middleweight limit to make the 157lb catchweight agreement.
      And due to the size disparity, a limit of what they can weigh the next day has also been inserted into the contract.
      It means a second-day weigh in will follow, although the exact rehydration cap has not been revealed.
      Eubank Jr, who has campaigned as high as 168lb at super-middleweight, recently confirmed his dad will be in his corner.

      But now it appears Eubank Sr has made a massive U-turn and will do everything in his power to prevent the fight.
      He said: “If you have a child and someone’s trying to actually take that child away from you, and do something wrong to that child, as a dad you wouldn’t let them. That’s all I’m doing.
      “I’ve given him my direction. If he doesn’t want to follow it, he will be dragged along.
      “But he will do what is right for him… he is coming down 1oz below 160lbs which cannot happen on my watch.”
      Eubank Sr’s son Sebastian tragically died aged 29 in Dubai last year after suffering a heart attack while swimming in the sea.
      And with his eldest set to cut to a career-lowest weight, it has struck fear into his former champion father.

      Despite Eubank Sr’s comments, Jr’s promoter Kalle Sauerland has insisted the fighter is still in training with the bout still on.

      In the months leading up to his farewell fight in the octagon, Paul has teased future talks with Diaz.
      The American, 25, returns against UFC legend Silva, 47, in Arizona on October 29, his sixth professional bout.
      And Diaz’s training partner Chris Avila, 29, is set to feature on the undercard, meaning the MMA veteran will be in attendance.
      Diaz said: “Yo, Jake Paul and Anderson Silva, let me get some tickets ringside.

      “My boy Chris Avila is fighting on that card, so yeah I for sure will be there.”
      Diaz, 37, was due to fight Khamzat Chimaev, 28, in his final UFC bout.
      But Chechen-born Swede Chimaev was overweight on the scales, meaning Tony Ferguson, 38, filled in as a replacement.
      Diaz went on to submit Ferguson in round four and is already eyeing a boxing switch.

      He said: “I want to get out of the UFC for a minute and show all these fighters how to take over and own up another sport how you’re supposed to do it because Conor McGregor didn’t know how to do it.

      And he cites the tragic death of 29-year-old son Sebastian last year from a heart attack as even more reason to be anxious about Chris Jr  boiling down and dehydrating for the mega-money October 8 showdown.
      The former two-weight world champion, 56, told SunSport: “This fight should not be allowed to happen, it is dangerous.
      “I have given my advice and I will continue giving it because I know how dangerous weight cutting is.
      “I have already lost one son, there is no way I am going to risk losing another.

      “I have spoken to Conor Benn — who I regard as a brilliant fighter and a king — and he told me he was willing to fight at 160lb.
      “So who has engineered this dangerous decision to limit my son?
      “I will be sitting down with all the people who have played their part in this and explaining that I will not have my son put in this danger.”
      Promoter Eddie Hearn and broadcasters DAZN have been banking on Eubank Sr playing a major role in helping to flog the O2 spectacle by rekindling his iconic rivalry with Conor’s dad Nigel.

      The clash is billed as Born Rivals and there were hopes to tap into the magnificent 1990s two-fight feud that ended with a stoppage win for Eubank and controversial rematch draw most fans believe Benn was robbed in.
      But the former middle and super-middle world champion is on the warpath against the latest circus act.
      Eubank Sr said: “This fight is born out of the Conor McGregor vs Floyd Mayweather fight. Catchweight bouts should not exist.
      “I would not let my son fight Conor at 160lb either because that would be so unfair on Conor, who is a 147lb fighter. It would be bullying and we are not bullies, we are champions and heroes.
      “Boxing has so many tragic tales and Junior knows all about them after his bout with Nick Blackwell.
      “He knows the dangers but I was not by his side when he signed this contract and the people involved do not have his best interests at heart.”
      Eubank Sr said Conor Benn should concentrate on a welterweight world title — and his son should remain targeting a middleweight crown.
      And he added:  “Great fighters, as they get older, move up in weight. Not down. Your body cannot do at 32 what it could do at 22. Junior was 158lb in 2014.
      “Anybody who understands this sport and weight cutting will tell you that the older you are the more difficult — impossible — it becomes.
      “I cannot train Junior or be in his corner for this bout because it would make me complicit.
      “I cannot be a part of this because I love my son and I have nothing but his best interests at heart.”
