Bitter Chelsea ‘END negotiations with Barcelona over Alonso and Azpilicueta after Kounde transfer hijacking’

CHELSEA have been left raging after Barcelona hijacked their deal to sign Jules Kounde and are now retaliating, according to reports.

Barca had been in negotiations to sign Chelsea’s defensive duo of Cesar Azpilicueta and Marcos Alonso.

But the furious Blues have decided to end negotiations with them and are refusing to do business with the LaLiga giants, claim Sport.

Xavi is looking to re-build the Barcelona squad this summer and is eyeing up many additions, one was Sevilla’s Jules Kounde.

Chelsea had agreed a £55million deal for the French centre-back but Barca swooped in at the last minute and look to set to sign him from right under their noses.

The Blues spent a year chasing the 23-year-old and are reportedly embarrassed and unhappy at their transfer rivals’ conduct.

Therefore Azpilicueta and Alonso’s moves to Spain could now be blocked.

The defensive duo both looked set to leave Stamford Bridge this summer.

Azpilicueta, 32, has one year left on his contract and is keen to move back to his homeland.

And Alonso, 31, is thought to have been in the final stages of talks with Barca over a transfer but the switch is now in jeopardy.

Chelsea are not the first club to be left bitter by Barcelona’s summer activities.
